Officially opened at the ANU by the Minister for Education and
Training, Mr. Bill Stefaniak MLA on the 22 of August 1996.
Our Certificate II in Security is the first to be approved by the Accreditation
and Registration Council under the Australian Recognition Framework. The event
was featured in PRIME and WIN news.
The course is approved for the purpose of obtaining the 1ABC Security Licence in

assess submissions for RPL. Our

and will guide you through every step of the process. Your Safecity facilitator
will help you assess your qualifications during a friendly interview. It

certificates of competency are therefore respected in the workplace.

Workplace Senior First Aid
Course
Safecity conducts a Workplace Senior First Aid Course. The NSW
WorkCover registration number for this course is FA9992.
This course saves you time and
money. The course duration is 16 hours. Study at home for 8 hours and practise
in the classroom (8 hours) with a qualified instructor.
Dog
handling
The use of dogs in the
security industry has increased dramatically. There is little doubt that
security officers who are trained in dog handling stand a much better chance of
obtaining a good job. Offered as an elective or stand alone module. This
comprehensive program is conducted over a 6 weeks period. Learn with
qualified and experienced former senior police and RAAF instructor examiners.
Operate Security Vehicles
Taught by former Australian
Federal Police Instructors. This module is a must if you drive security patrol
vehicles. This course involves academic and practical skills tuition. Offered as
an elective or stand alone module.
Retail Security
Learn all about loss
prevention in supermarkets and retail stores.
Bomb Threats
Know what to do and say during
a threat.
Crowd Control
Learn all about the roles of
security in clubs, pubs and concerts.
Bodyguard duties
Learn about the roles of close
personal protection officers. Safecity also offers a Certificate III in Security
Operations which deals with Close Personal and Assets Protection (Bodyguard).
Searching and use of
scanners
Practise searching using
modern equipment.

Statement of Attainment Employ Batons and Handcuffs, Nationally recognized
training. This course is ideal for unarmed guards. Avoid injuries with these
easy-to-learn techniques. Includes safe Weaponless Tactics blocks and holds as
well as legal and psychological considerations in the use of force.
