Safecity Training Academy is proud to have been commissioned by the NSW Department of Education and Training to deliver this important project.

Under this project Safecity will conduct training for applicants wishing to obtain the NSW Conditional Security Licence Class 1A, 1B, 1C. The course has been designed to include Olympic awareness competencies.

The course is funded by the NSW Department of Education and Training. An administration fee of $93 applies. Eligible persons will not have to pay the administration fee.

Safecity's course is nationally recognised under the Australian Recognition Framework.

Eligibility for exemption from course fees

Exemption from paying the Administration Fee

Students are exempt from paying the $93.00 Administration Fee if they are either:

Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people (whether or not you receive Abstudy)
Disabled students
Needy Students

Needy students ---- are classified as people receiving any of the following benefits at the time of enrolment:

Age Pension
Austudy (including Veterans Affairs Children Education Scheme)
Carer Payment
Dependent Child or Eligible Beneficiary
Disability Support Pension
Family Payment / Allowance (above the basic rate)
Farm Family Restart Scheme
Farm Household Support Scheme
Mature Age Allowance
Newstart
Partner or Spouse of Pension / Allowance Recipient
Parenting Payment (Single)
Rural Assistance Scheme
Sickness Allowance
Special Benefit
Veterans Affairs Payments
Widow Pension (including Widow B Pension)
Wife Pension
Widow Allowance
Youth Allowance

Acceptable Proof of Exemption from Paying the Administration Fee:

A copy of:

Pensioner Health Benefits Card
Social Security Health Benefits Card
a letter from Centrelink stating your pension or benefits status
a statement for Newstart or Youth Allowance that proves that you receive the benefit at the time of enrolment
a copy of an assessment in terms of disability
a letter from Centrelink concerning payment of the Drought Exceptional Circumstances Certificate issued by the NSW Rural Assistance Authority
Current Austudy Notice of Assessment issued by Centrelink

Please note that a health care card is not accepted as proof of a benefit or pension.
