NSW Security Industry Instructor Courses

Dear Instructor candidate, welcome to our support site designed specially for you. In this site you will find most of the information you are likely to need. You will also have the choice of downloading an instructor application kit.

Safecity uses the Adobe PDF format. This format is widely used by governments and other educational institutions. If you do not have the Adobe reader you can download it free. The files are also zipped (compressed) to reduce the download time.

Certificate IV in Security Industry Firearms Instructor Course
(National Registration Code 10832ACT)

Training Prerequisites:	Hold a Class 2D Licence (NSW residents only). This qualification is available from Safecity and is included in the package. If you do not hold a class 2D Licence you must enrol without delay. Interstate applicants do not require this licence. However, they must satisfy the State requirements where they will be applying for their licences. Hold a Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training. This qualification is available from Safecity and is included in the package. If you do not hold a Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training you must enrol without delay. Show competency in general knowledge pertaining adult education, firearms laws, and demonstrate safe handling of the revolver and semiautomatic pistol. Hold a category H licence issued under the Firearms Act 1996. (NSW residents only) Hold a WorkCover approved Senior First Aid certificate. Available from Safecity.
Outcome primary:	Qualifies you to apply for the NSW Police Commissioner Permit Firearms Instructor (Revolver, Semiauto)
Outcome additional	Qualifies you for the Certificate III in Security (Guarding). This is subject to successful completion of designated pre-training assessment activity.

Outcome additional	Qualifies you for the Certificate III in Security (Guarding). Subject to successful completion of designated pre-training assessment activity.

Outcome primary:	Qualifies you to plan, prepare, deliver and assess training in the workplace. This qualification is not industry specific and can be transported or used in any industry.
Outcome additional:	Qualifies you for the NSW Security Class 2D Licence Conduct Certificate II in Security (Guarding) courses when employed by an approved Registered Training Organisation (RTO)
