Traditionally a Firearm Instructor has to undergo re-accredition training every three years. Some instructors believe that it is unfair to compel a firearms instructor who has been actively teaching, to undergo a full training program (14 days).
The instructor argument is that the re-accrediting instructor does not benefit from attending the same course all over again.
Safecity believes that the re-accreditation program should be designed to enhance skills. It should also provide the instructor with opportunities to discuss adult education skills as well as improving presentation techniques. We also believe that the firearms instructor should be given ample opportunity to discuss problems and successes with Academy staff and their peers.
