Safe Passage is the training choice of many satisfied clients worldwide.  In Australia these include the Australian Protective Services, Australia Customs and the Australian Federal Police.

Curriculum:

This explosives detection and weapons detection training is modular and multilevel.  Students can complete each unit of learning separately if necessary. This is ideal for busy agencies and security providers.  Safecity's flexible approach ensures that there is minimum disruption in the workplace.

Safe Passage consists of four major components

• Basic X-ray Screening Course  (Training for entry level and advanced x-ray screeners)

• X-ray Interpretation (Reinforcement and practise image learning for graduates of Basic X-Ray and for advanced students)

• Modular Bomb Set (Advanced training that enables participants to "build" IEDs and then detect them in a variety of settings)

• The Administrator Department (For employers and trainers to enter student particulars and keep performance records)

Basic X-ray Screening Course

Course contents for the Basic X-ray Screening include The Role of the X-ray Screener Basic Screening Techniques Threat Identification Screening Carry-on & Checked Baggage by X-ray Interpretation Specific Threat Areas Final Assessment

Recommended for: Baggage screeners, airport security, x-ray screening operators, law enforcement, military.  Airport security, baggage screening and x-ray screener training is available only to licensed security officers, law enforcement and other authorised persons.

X-ray Interpretation Course

Students are able to view X-ray machine images using a powerful learning algorithm that increases the challenge based on student performance.  There are over 1300 images in the library including IEDs, firearms, prohibited articles, edged weapons and substances.	Students are also able to switch to BW, zoom in the image and rotate the picture.  Safe Passage provides all the controls found in even the most modern X-ray machines.  This adds the desired level of realism in training.  There is no time limit during the practice runs.  Assessment can be timed.	Another desirable feature is the ability to open and inspect the baggage.  Here the student simulates the opening of the bag.  In this case the result is a "Critical Error".  The student should have identified the explosives without having to open the bag.  In real life this could have been a tragedy.
	Assessments can be administered easily and quickly with Safe Passage.  The Assessment process is automated.  Trainers and Administrators can review these assessments at any time--even many years after  the student's graduation.  In some countries this is a legal requirement. The report includes: The score The level of training The overall average score And if any critical items have been passed Students are then able to review the "bags" they missed and learn from the experience.

Modular Bomb Set

The modular bomb set is another useful feature of the ingenious Safe Passage software.  It is not only fun and enjoyable-- It is also a great training aid to help students develop an awareness unlikely to be obtained with other programs.	Students are able to construct IEDs using a variety of explosives, initiators, power sources and timing devices.  The robot constructs the device using all these ingredients.  Because students are actively involved in the production of the IEDs, they develop a keen interest and therefore learn at a faster rate with better retention and understanding.	Here students must identify each component they used in the manufacturing of the explosive device. By this time students are completely engrossed in the process of learning.  When properly conducted the modular bomb set can become one of the most powerful learning tools available to security trainers.
